Casares, considered by some to be the prettiest of the famous Andalucian white villages, whilst only nine miles from the sea, is in another world when compared to the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts, a world where tradition is a way of life, not a tourist parade.
The
narrow streets of Casares weave and climb their way through the
traditional white houses, piled precariously high like sugar cubes
beneath the ancient Arab fortress that sits at the top of the town,
some 1400 feet above sea level.
